New to Moorabbin Airport? Has it been a while?

Blue Demon's maintenance hangar is located on what is referred to as the "Northern Apron".   This apron is accessible from taxiway Golf.

Clearance from Moorabbin Ground is not required to taxi on taxiway Golf from the main apron area (the apron adjacent to the main windsock and runup bays) to the Northern Apron.  If you are unsure, ask Moorabbin Ground on 134.25 if they have any traffic moving on Golf. Taxi clearence IS required if you wish to continue on Golf past the Northern Apron intersection to the runways. 

It is highly recommended you maintian a listening watch while taxiing to the Northern Apron, as helicopters land on the grass adjacent to the taxiway and apron.  Moorabbin ground will usually give a general broadcast when there is a helicopter inbound to land.

The Blue Demon hangar is easily identifiable as you taxi up Golf. It is a large, dark grey hangar, the first in the row.
